Candidate Outreach - Technical FAQ for Microsoft Office 365 (O365)

Candidate Outreach allows you to connect your email to SeekOut and create messaging campaigns with multiple prospects at once. Below is a list of frequently asked questions for SeekOut's integration with Microsoft Office 365.

This feature is available for users with Essential, Professional, or Enterprise licenses.

What permissions does Candidate Outreach need to integrate with Office 365?

The following permissions are required:

  • Send email on behalf

  • Read message headers, but not body

  • User profile (for name and email address)

  • Maintain data access

What method does Candidate Outreach use to integrate with Office 365?

Candidate Outreach uses Microsoft OAuth to integrate with your email host.

What data is stored by SeekOut for Office 365?

The following items are stored:

Note: SeekOut only stores these items for messages you send with Candidate Outreach. SeekOut never accesses or stores emails sent outside of Candidate Outreach.

  • Subject of Reply

  • From Address of Reply

  • Timestamp of Reply

  • IP address of Reply

  • IP address of location where message was opened

  • Timestamp of when message was opened

  • The full message body of the email is never stored or accessed by SeekOut.

How long will this data be stored?

Data will be stored until your contract with SeekOut is terminated, or until you disconnect Candidate Outreach from your email. For contract termination, all client data will be deleted within 60 days of end of contract.

Who can access this data at SeekOut?

No one at SeekOut can access this data.
