Contact Credits
You will use your contact credits to request contact info. See the article How contact info credits are counted for more details.
Request info for one
Go to a candidate profile and click Get Email or Get Phone. After a brief moment the candidate's contact info will appear in the information box below.
If a candidate has more than one email, then SeekOut ranks emails using a machine learning classifier to predict and display the best email address to use. Click More to see more email addresses from the candidate if they're available.
Request info for some
Check the box next to each candidate profile. Select Get Email or Get Phone from the ribbon at the bottom of the screen.
To change how many candidates are listed per page, scroll to the bottom and make a new choice from the Show results per page dropdown.
Request info for all
Scroll to the top of the page and click Get Email for All or Get Phone for All. This will reveal contact information for all of the candidates in the project.
It can take a few minutes to find contact information for many candidates at once. After you request contact info you don't have to remain on the same page; SeekOut will work in the background finding candidate contact info, allowing you to navigate to another page or continue working on other projects.
You'll be notified in two ways when your request is completed:
In your Activity Center: you will see a red notification icon appear on the bell next to your name at the bottom left of your SeekOut dashboard. Click the bell to open your Activity Center, which contains links to your projects and searches where contact info was requested.
Via email: SeekOut will send you an email with the subject "SeekOut--Your contact info is ready." Click the link inside the email to view your project or search where you requested contact info.
If you try to export candidate data from a project while SeekOut is still looking for contact information, a pop-up message will appear reminding you that a contact info request is still in progress.
Click OK to close the pop-up and continue waiting, or Continue anyway to go ahead with the export. Keep in mind that if you export before the request has finished, your exported data may not have contact information.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does SeekOut provide contact info for candidates?
SeekOut is not a primary source of candidate contact info and we do not build a database of contact info about candidates. SeekOut contracts with several data providers for contact information, and we evaluate the info to make sure it's accurate. SeekOut does not scrape contact info (or any other data) from LinkedIn or other sources.
We balance our customer’s desire for candidate information with the individual’s desire for privacy. If a candidate wants to be removed from our database, they can request it from our website and we will promptly remove it. This won’t remove their information from the underlying contact data providers, but their information won’t be available in SeekOut.
If I request contact information, but SeekOut can't find it, does it count against my monthly limit?
No. If you request contact information for someone and we can't find a valid email address or phone number, the number of contact information credits you have remaining will not be decreased.
As an example, assume you have 100 emails remaining in your monthly limit and you request email addresses for 10 new people. If SeekOut returns good email addresses for 8 of those people, but can't find good addresses for 2 of them, you will have 92 email requests remaining.
