🤝 Clinch Talent | Export

SeekOut integrates with Clinch Talent, allowing you to export candidate data from SeekOut and turn it into Clinch Talent candidate profiles complete with contact information and work/education history. Candidate data can be sent to Clinch Talent as prospects, or they can be attached to an existing list.

This article covers how to set up your integration, as well as how to export candidate info from SeekOut to Clinch.

Before You Begin

API Key

Clinch Talent requires an API key and Secret in order to integrate with SeekOut. To obtain your credentials, login to your Clinch Talent account and do the following:

1. From the side menu under Company click API.

   1. NOTE: If you do not see this option under Company, please contact your Clinch Talent representative

2. Click the New button.

3. Enter a Name.

4. Click the Save button.

5. On the Your API credential details screen, copy and save your API Key and Secret as it will not be possible to access your API secret again. You will need these credentials later to enter into SeekOut.

Additionally, you will need the region associated with your company’s API. Please contact your Clinch Talent representative to get this information. It should be one of the following values:

• US

• EU

• AU

Setting up your Integration

Accessing Integrations

Click your name at the bottom left of the SeekOut dashboard, then select Integrations.

Note: Don't see the Integrations option in your menu? Contact your Customer Success Manager or support@seekout.com and ask to enable ATS integrations for your org.\

On the Integrations page, click + Add a Connection to open the list of applicant tracking systems. If you've set up an integration with SeekOut before, your current integrations will be listed on this page. Click the plus sign + at the top of the page to open the ATS list.

Connecting to Clinch Talent

On the Integrations page, locate Clinch Talent from the list and click the Connect button.

On the Capabilities tab, check the box next to Export. Click Confirm Choices to continue to the next step.

On the Credentials tab, select the value of your Company’s URL in the dropdown list, then enter you API Key and Secret you obtained from Clinch Talent.

Click Submit to save your credentials then click Next. SeekOut will automatically attempt to verify your connection. This will check integration permissions and send a test record to Clinch Talent. Choose either Export as Prospect or select a list from dropdown menu and click Verify. When the ‘All Good’ message appears, click Finish and check your ATS to ensure the test candidate has been successfully added.

When successful, Clinch Talent will appear at the top of your Integrations page with a green check mark.

Removing the Integration

On the Integrations page, click the arrow next to a connected integration to Edit or Remove the integration from your SeekOut account.

Exporting from SeekOut to Clinch Talent

Recommended: Export from a Project

To export all candidates in a project to Clinch Talent, go to your SeekOut project, click the Export icon and choose Export All to Clinch Talent.

Note: Contact information such as email addresses and phone numbers will only appear in your export if you click Get Email for All and Get Phone for All before exporting.

Alternatively, you can export select candidates from SeekOut by clicking the box next to their profile, clicking Export and then selecting Export to Clinch Talent. With both methods, clicking Export to Clinch Talent will cause a pop-up window will appear.

Choose if you want to export profiles as Prospects or as Candidates. Prospects will not be attached to a job, whereas Candidates will be exported to a chosen list in Clinch Talent.

Click the Export button to export candidates to Clinch Talent. If successful, you will see a confirmation pop-up message that says, Export Complete.

Additional Notes

Duplicate Profiles

SeekOut will prevent duplicate records by not transmitting profiles that have already been successfully exported. Profiles that have been exported will contain a confirmation icon and the ATS system name. Example: ATS: Clinch Talent.

Note: Clinch Talent does support duplicate check functionality. If you export the same candidate twice, Clinch Talent will attempt to match the candidates by their email address and update accordingly.

What do dummy emails look like?

When you check the box "Generate dummy email addresses" before exporting to your ATS, then SeekOut will create email addresses and send them along with each candidate who doesn't already have an email associated with their SeekOut profile.

The email addresses generated by SeekOut will look similar to these examples:
