In Career Compass, a project is a short-term task or assignment that you can share with your coworkers. Projects in Career Compass are intended to help your coworkers refine or learn new skills.

In Career Compass, a project is a short-term task or assignment that you can share with your coworkers. Projects in Career Compass are intended to help your coworkers refine or learn new skills.
Projects are customizable, and can focus on a specific function that a team performs (e.g. engineering, marketing, people, finance, etc.), or be more social (e.g. support a company-wide event, volunteer effort, etc.) The length of time of a project can vary; a project could be a 2-hour task or require several hours per week over several weeks.
Note: Each company has unique configurations. This article covers the capabilities within Career Compass regardless of whether your organization is using them or not.
Creating a new Project
While logged into Career Compass, hover over the Projects tab at the top of the page and select Create new project to make your own project.
Enter a project title, details, and a description. You'll also need to enter at least one skill that is associated with the project goals. When you're done, click Post to publish your project to your organization's Career Compass page.
View Projects
While logged into Career Compass, hover your mouse over the Projects tab at the top of the page and select View Projects to see all of the projects posted in your organization.
Projects are listed with the most recent available projects at the top, with older projects and projects closed to applicants listed at the bottom. Click on the name of a project to open a page with more details about the project, including the description, skills, start and end dates, and more. Click I'm interested to submit your interest in helping with the project to the project owner. Depending on how the owner set up their project, you may be automatically added to the project or you may need to wait for the owner to review your profile and ensure that the skills and details are a good fit for you.
Searching for Projects
Above the list of projects, you'll see a field where you can search for projects by keywords as well as a set of filters. You can use these filters and keyword search field to narrow down the project list to better fit the skills, location, hours per week, or other details that you're looking for in a project.
My Project Activity
Click the My project activity tab under the search field to see all of the current and past projects you've participated in. You can also see any pending applicants for projects you've created in this section as well.
Manage Projects
While logged into Career Compass, hover your mouse over the Projects tab at the top of the page and select Manage Projects to view and manage all of the projects that you've posted in your organization. Here, you can review applicants to your projects, make changes to your projects, or remove them from the project list.
